Anti-Wrinkle Treatments
Anti-Wrinkle injections are the UK’s number one method for treating facial wrinkles and lines. Wrinkles are caused by repeated facial muscle contraction during expressions. Over time these lines become deeper and more prominent. Anti-Wrinkle injections into these muscles causes them to relax and in turn causes facial lines and wrinkles to soften or disappear depending on their depth. Additionally in trained practitioners hands, these injections can also be used to relax muscles and by the action of opposing muscles create lifting effects. Treatment duration varies, but typically 1 treatment lasts 3-4months.
Typical Areas Treated with Anti-wrinkle injections:
- Glabellar Area
- Forehead Lines
- Crows Feet
- Brow Lift (for arched brows)
- Bunny Lines
- Gummy Smile
- Pebbled/ Upturned Chin
- Smokers Lines
- Downturned Corners of Mouth
- Jawline Slimming/ Masseter (also treats bruxism)
- Nefertiti Neck Lift for Turkey Neck/ Platysmal Bands
- Axillary Hyperhidrosis (Excess Underarm Sweating)
Cheek Augmentation
Cheek augmentation is a very popular treatment for patients of all ages. It can achieve two major outcomes in a face. Firstly in younger patients, augmenting and enhancing the cheekbones with high density dermal filler can create sharper more defined contoured cheeks and more noticeable cheekbones giving a more youthful and attractive appearance.
The second main outcome that can be achieve with cheek augmentation treatment is to replace midfacial volume loss which is often described by older patients as thinning and sagging of the cheeks causing lower facial jowling and lines and winkles. By replacing the lost mid facial fat in older patients with high density dermal filler, the cheeks are lifted as well as structures below such as lower face jowls and nasolabial lines and marionette lines. Thus giving a "mini face lift" appearance without invasive surgery.
Typical areas of concern that Cheek Fillers can address:
- Flat or contour less cheeks.
- Enhances high arched cheekbone look
- Midfacial volume loss correction and lifting and reducing jowls
- Giving clients a more youthful and attractive appearance

Full Facial Rejuvenation
The full facial rejuvenation, sometimes termed the liquid facelift is one of our most popular treatments in clinic. All faces and face shapes are different and as such we all age differently. There is however a distinct pattern to this process, with volume loss in the mid face, undereye area as well as formation of nose to mouth lines, nasolabial fat pad hypertrophy and retaining ligament laxity leading to jowling. The full facial rejuvenation is carefully tailored by Dr J Moradzadeh & Dr R Farrokhnik using his expert aesthetic eye to determine which areas of your face you need volume replacement, ligament tightening and fat pad blending. In clinic he assesses your face and discusses the signs of ageing he notes and advises on the best way to treat these holistically. The treatment encompasses various densities and types of dermal filler being precisely placed into the key target areas of the face to refresh, rejuvenate and add youth to the whole face. The results are instant and very natural, typically lasting 2-3 years with only little maintenance needed after this period to keep the results up.
The procedure itself takes 30-40mins to perform. With local anaesthetic cream applied to the whole face prior to treatment. It is very minimally painful as the approach is very minimally invasive and most patient describe it feeling very comfortable and even relaxing to most.
At RJ Clinics we use the latest in microcannula and invisible needle techniques for all treatments to minimise the risks of bruising and swelling. This allows the best precision for filler delivery into the tissues as well as maximising the patient comfort during the treatment.
Lip Filler Treatments
Lip enhancement/ augmentation often referred to as "Lip Fillers" is the commonest non-surgical treatment performed in the UK. Lip tissue undergoes the most mechanical and chemical exposure. We spend a lot of the day talking, chewing and making facial expressions. Over time, this leads to the lower one third of our face ageing the fastest. Cultural trends have shifted towards more plump and voluptuous lips causing the growth in lip fillers over recent years.
Lip fillers are made up of low to medium density dermal fillers. They contain Hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring carbohydrate found in our skin cells. Lip fillers allow us to add more of this clear gel like substance to the lips to add volume, define shape and enhance beauty.
The procedure of lip enhancement is just as much artistry as it is science as the skill of the injector leads to the end result. At RJ clinics we pride our skills and expertise in Lip fillers. We are able to tailor the lip enhancement results to the clients wishes and to what will suit them best. We understand that for some people a "natural but defined" pair of lips is pleasing while for others, fuller "heart shaped" lips are desirable. Drs Moradzadeh & Farrokhnik discusses each client’s expectations and wishes at the consultation to ensure each client leaves with their ideal lips.
Typical areas of concern the Lip Fillers can address:
- Increases fullness of thin lips.
- Enhances lip definition and shape
- Creates a more defined smile with proportioned lips
- Give the client a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance
- Create upturned corners of lips
- Add projection and symmetry to asymmetrical lips
Profhilo and Skin Boosting
Profhilo delivers very pure, stabilised hyaluronic acid into the skin through a series of small injections.Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring chemical which the body uses to retain water in the skin and support the skin’s collagen and elastin.
Profhilo® works in a course of 2 or 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart. On the face, only 5 injection points are necessary on each side of the face to give maximum results. Profhilo® acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. It is injected just under the surface of the skin, where it disperses quickly (due to the lack of BDDE cross-linking agent) and reacts with your own tissues to instantly boost hydration. Over the following 4 weeks, phase 2 will boost collagen and elastin production within the dermis. This helps to give the skin a youthful, plump, smooth and firm appearance.
Profhilo® can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with other dermal fillers like laser treatments as part of a holistic approach to skin remodelling and revitalisation.
The treatment is most commonly used in the face with 5 different injection points giving even spread of the profhilo across most of the face, however it can also be used in the Neck, Hands and Body. Results from Profhilo® can last anything from 6 to 12 months, depending on your individual reaction and metabolism of the product.
We use Profhilo® to create an airbrushed skin effect on patients of all ages. It is especially popular with patients over the age of 30. If you are not happy with your skin laxity, have crêpey or thin skin as well as other visible signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles, you could be suitable for Profhilo®.
HArmonyCA?
HArmonyCA is a new revolutionary injectable treatment with dual effects – designed to restore facial volume and also promotes the sustained generation of natural collagen formation, giving long lasting lifting and volumizing results.
This latest product by Allergan provides immediate volumizing effects and contains cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid (HA), much like their other popular dermal filler range – Juvederm – but has a unique selling point in that the product also contains embedded Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres, which stimulates the body’s own production of collagen and elastin – improving the skin’s elasticity over time, even when the HA component has broken down.
The Hyaluronic Acid element of this new collagen biostimulator product is naturally found in the body and elevates skin hydration and moisture, which is key to keep the skin looking plump and healthy and provides an immediate volumising effect.
Calcium Hydroxyapatite generates a stable, inseparable gel that keeps the microspheres in the desired location, which minimises the risk of product migration and ensures a smooth appearance. CaHA is a biodegradable, biostimulatory soft tissue filler suitable for deeper folds and wrinkles, and encourages an increased natural formation of collagen and elastin within the skin to provide a sustained lifting effect.
HArmonyCA also contains lidocaine to ensure a comfortable experience during the procedure.
How is HarmonyCA different from other fillers?
Most dermal fillers main ingredient is hyaluronic acid, a natural component that is found in the structure of the skin. However, HarmonyCA has a longer lasting effect on the skin beyond the longevity of the HA component.
HarmonyCA treats the superficial under layer of the skin, while other Juvederm fillers are placed in the fat layers or on boney foundation. Due to the superficial placement of harmonyCA, it doesn’t have most of the possible complications of soft tissue fillers, such as vascular occlusion.
CaHA triggers continuous collagen stimulation through activating fibroblasts. New collagen fibres may be present as early as one week after treatment.
Why Consider HArmonyCA?
Dual benefits – instant lift and longevity
Provides a strong volumising, lifting effect that is immediately visible, thanks to the HA component of HArmonyCA, with a longevity of over a year. Remodels the skin, immediate refreshed and lifted look. The effect of the CaHA component is more gradual to appear, as it boosts the natural production of collagen within the skin. It improves the structure and fullness of the skin beyond the lifespan of the HA component. Scaffold like support is created and collagen production is generated. Reduced side effects during the procedure, such as edema (swelling) and pain Immediate volumizing effect, long lasting Natural looking results
Maintenance sessions at 12 months to prolong, build on and maintain your results.
Lifts and tightens the skin, as well as stimulating a continuous production of collagen to the area being treated
